2010 COURSE DESCRIPTION

The 1/4 mile swim in Cottage Lake Park is a triangular course (counter clock-wise). Cottage Lake temperatures are expected to be around 65-68 degrees in June and September and wetsuits are allowed. Once off the beach, the walk to transition is on grass.

The Sept 11, 2010 course has been re-routed due to construction, the 5.1 mile loop for the Bike course takes you through residential areas circumnavigating the lake, and you get to enjoy this twice.

For the 1.6 mile Run, you get to traverse through the Park, exiting and following Avondale Road entering a peaceful residential area. Returning to the serene trail in the park and finishing the course.

2010 KIDS COURSE DESCRIPTION

Your child will enjoy this quick 25 yard swim in Cottage Lake and then get on a bike (~.65 miles) to ride the paved trail within the park. The run (~240 yrds) is mainly around the transition, so you will be able to watch your child complete this course.
