FAQ TRANSITIONS

How do I make my transitions as smooth and easy as possible?

Transition training.

How do I rack my bike?

Will there be a place to change my clothes?

HOW DO I MAKE MY TRANSITIONS AS SMOOTH AND EASY AS POSSIBLE?

Regardless of your goal, whether it is to complete the race or be top finisher everyone has a similar goal of wanting the most smooth and efficient experience possible. There's a reason triathletes call transitions the 4th leg. Transitions can suck you in...practice, practice, practice - practice your transitions -and then have an excellent race.

We highly recommend you attend the MMLF triathlon clinics to learn about and practice transitions.

TRANSITION TRAINING

Go to a MMLF triathlon clinic and practice all three legs and your transitions.

While you are training, even if you don't have time to bike and then go for a run, bike and practice your transition to your run so your transitions become habit.

Find non moving landmarks around your transition area for easy spotting when you need to find your transition area - a bright colored towel is helpful.

Stay focused during your transitions.

HOW DO I RACK MY BIKE?

Bikes will be racked by bib number. It is easiest to rack your bike by placing the saddle on the bar. To give you more room, place your bike in the opposite direction of the person next to you.

WILL THERE BE A PLACE TO CHANGE MY CLOTHES?

In the transition area, there is not a place to change your clothes discretely. There will be sanicans available, but it is recommended that you wear something to easily transition to the next leg. The less you have to change, the faster your transition will be.
